Maid Room / Infirmary

It's been converted into an infirmary. Have you been injured? Stay here for a bit and rest.

With a hard time getting the door open, she made it in. It was a small room, defiantly makeshift, but it would do. She glanced at the small beds, thankful for the large one she had. She walked around slowly looking for supplies that were, supposedly, limited. "Do you see anything?" She questioned Candie.

Carlie followed her into the room. She quickly let her eyes scan this new room. It was clean, stable but screamed makeshift but it would do. She found a desk at the end of the room and walked over to it. ''Let's try here first.'' she said to Reanah.

Reanah noded, walking over and crouching down, pulling on one of the many drawers. "It's locked." She says plainly, scowling at the piece of furniture. "What kind of person locks a drawer?"

"Jonny obviously'' She said with a slight laugh. ''I have a hair pin, give me a sec.'' she addad as she knelt down and started clicking her hair pin in the lock.

''Did you notice the library back there?'' She asked out of the blue.

She did, and she wanted to go in there terribly. "Yea..I did. Why?" She wanted to read a good book, as she hadn't since the invasion. She wondered about the types of books they had. Horror. Realistic. Were there any about killing zombies? She could use that.

''No reason, it's just that I love to read! My books used to rule over my old house..'' she fell silent as memories filled her mind; her little brother, her mother, her father, all gone now.

CLICK. She had at last gotten it unlocked. ''Voila!'' She said as she opened the draw...

She noticed her face fall for a moment, just before the drawer clicked open.

She peeked inside, looking at the small amount of medicines, along with normal everyday things like band aids, sanitizer, gloves, and many more. "We should probably open the rest of the drawers and set this all up in the cabinets. Would you like to unlock while I organize?"

''Sure i'll unlock them is there some paper and a pen so that we can log what we have?'' Candie replied as she looked around on the top of the desk.

Reanah looked around before spotting a piece of paper over on another desk. "Here." She runs and grabs it, still not finding a pen or pencil. "I don't see a pencil." She says, sighing and giving her the paper before taking everything out of the desk and organizing it into small piles, because of the small amounts of everything. "I'll go ahead and get started." She says, still looking for a pen.

Whilst Reanah had been looking for a pen and paper she had unlocked a second drawer and found an old fashioned ink pen. ''I've got a pen!'' she announced as she emptied the contents of this drawer. Pain killer, cotton pads, burn cream, steryle bandages, antiseptic, scissors, tweezers, a few needles and some steryle thread. ''There's some more stuff in here!''

She smiles widely. This girl was growing on her, quickly. Reanah scoots the things over by the next pile, which had already been organized in a few cabinets. Bandages put in the top right cabinets, which she was now adding to. Scissors, she decided (because there was only one pair right now), would go on the counter until further notice. The thread and needles would have to wait, because she had nowhere, good, to put them. The tweezers would go by the scissors, as would the antiseptic and burn cream until further notice. She was ecstatic that they were doing something helpful.

Candie thought to herself how this was getting to be more enjoyable with someone else and she was pleased that it was Reanah.

She was struggling to unlock the third drawer but the reasuring click of the lock told her that she had done it. Inside were many pamphlets and hand outs about the importance of medicine being administered properly; they could be useful so she set them aside. Also there was another pair of sissors and some more thread, three bottles of asprin capsules, several triangular bandages and two rolls of adhesive tape.

''Loads more to put away! You having fun there?'' she joked.

She nodded, chuckling and grabbing the materials she had just taken out. "It's better than getting attacked by zombies. Tell me about yourself?" She asks her, setting the scissors and thread on the counter and the bandages in a different pile than the large ones. She smiled at the pamphlets, setting them down in a neat pile. The adhesive tape went with the bandages, and the aspirin in it's own cabinet; the one beside the bandages cabinet.

''What do you want to know?'' she replied as she got to work on the cupboard the other side of the desk. It was the easiest to unlock and was opened in seconds. Inside was a large-ish bag containing the following

As she stood up she heaved the heavey bag onto the desk and started to sort through it.

"Everything." She says with a soft smile, which turned into a gasp as she heaved the large bag. "I wonder if Jeremy knows all this stuff is in here?" Reanah chuckles, taking the scissors and tweezers and setting them by the others.

''Probably not or he'd have told us surely.'' Candie replied.

''Well I moved hre from Brighton when I was 12 so it was difficult to find friends especially when people were making fun or my red hair because its natural. I lived with my mother, father and little brother but when my brother was taken and eaten by the zombies my parents went looking for him and my father left me his pocket knife.'' She answered quietly trying to keep face.

''How about you?'' Candie asked wiping away a stray tear.

Reanah stayed quiet, setting everything down and smiling softly. "Come 'ere.." She pulled her in for a hug, which she hasn't done to a human in years. "Don't cry, everything is okay now. Sure, there are zombies..but you have a friend! And a kitty!" She smiles, gently squeezing Candie before turning back to the supplies. "I grew up in a small town about 50 minutes from here. My parents abused me mentally. I was compared to my brother all the time, and my parents told me to kill myself. I saw my brother run away, and I knew he died. I saw my parents die. I tried so hard to save them. All I have left now is Felix."

Reanah held back tears, hiding them with a smile. "But everything is okay now.."

''Oh Reanah,'' Candie dispaired and pulled her in for another hug. ''You've got me, we'll stick together.'' She said reasuringly ''We'll get through this.''

Candie couldn't belive that she had let herself make a friend, what if she lost her? No, she banished the thought from her mind; she'd make sure that they both got through it or at least Reanah would get through it. Death would be welcome if she knew that it would save Reanah. Candie didn't want to lose someone else and it wont happed she reminded herself.

She smiles at her, thanking her. She takes a look at everything they put up. "I think we have done pretty good for today! I think I'm going to go look for Felix now!" And with that, she runs out the door.

Henry supposed that he should put his knowledge to use, so he decided to take a look at the infirmary. There was a girl already there. Lots of girls at this mansion, he has noticed. "H-hello. I'm Henry, I haven't h-had orders to come here, but I mean, I know..a few things about medicine, I could be useful." Henry introduced himself, already looking around to see what all medicines he could work with. And then he tripped over nothing, falling flat onto his face. He quickly picked himself up, hoping no one noticed.

"We have our first patient," said Melanie, carrying an unconscious Abby into the makeshift infirmary. "I hope you guys found all the medical stuff I loaded into the drawers and shelves! Jeremy made me do that, but anyways--"

The girl placed Abby onto one of the beds. "She was standing on a chair and somehow managed to make a shelf tip, throw her onto the ground and spill books all over her. I think she'll be totally fine if she just rests here for tonight."

Melanie shrugged and turned, already leaving the room. "See ya guys."

Henry rushed over to the patient Melanie had delivered. The girl, Melanie's, nonchalant attitude towards Abby's "injury" was a bit upsetting, and a bit suspicious as well. Henry may only have studied the medicine field, but he read books, he wasn't completely in the dark on some things. The first thing he did was check his pulse and then checking Abbey's to compare. Abbey's pulse was much more slow than his own, making Henry wary. A bit too slow even for an unconscious female. The suspicion came back, but he pushed it aside, just letting the girl rest. Melanie was right, she didn't need serious attention, but Henry would watch over her. But, he found himself falling asleep later on. It was late, okay? T_T Falling asleep on the job is not a good trait, hopefully the other girl was keeping an eye on Abbey.

Candie returned to her surroundings after living in her daydreams for what seemed to be too little time, she glanced over and saw an unconsious girl laying on a bed and boy, Henry possibly, asleep in a chair beside her. Poor guy, she thought, he must've been really tired from sitting up for so long.

Candie walked over to the girl and checked her pulse and other important vitals before gentley nudging his shoulder to try and wake him. ''Wake up!''she whispered not wanting to shock him.

Henry felt someone nudging him and eventually hearing a female telling him to wake up. "I-I wasn't s-sleeping, just m-merely um..resting my eyes." He said quickly, scrambling himself to a very straight un-slouched position. His eyes then flitted over to The girl Abbey. She was still unconscious, but she should be coming around soon. It looked like colour was returning to her face, that was good. Henry nooded and looked over at the person who had awoken him."Have you noticed anything about her?' He asked her testily, a bit cranky from not getting much sleep. He hoped that wasn't too obvious.

Right now, Hemry craved a cigarette, but he was plenty sure it wouldn't be able possible to smoke now. This mansion was too beautiful, he was sure he wouldn't be allowed to smoke in here with the risks of ruining the walls and such with smoke, and he knew going outside just to smoke is not a logical idea, unless he was suicidial for cigerettes. Which he isn't.
